Sure, why not. We posted about the hotdog eating in the US, but what do the Russkies like to eat fast?

Caviar eating contest held in Russia

Moscow caviar eating contest winner, Alexander Valoy, eats half a kilogram of black caviar in under 2 minutes.

A high end restaurant in Moscow, called “The Apartment,”  held a caviar eating competition in which twelve lucky people had to eat a half kilogram of black caviar as fast as humanly possible. The “winner” of the contest, Alexander Valov, was able to consume his bowl of caviar in just one minute and 26 seconds. His prize, you ask? MORE caviar. Along with a nice plaque, and 10,000 rubles (which is only US $340). The event itself, cost organizers over 2 million ruble (which to us is $70,000), which was pounded down in a matter of minutes. Check out the video of the event I like to call “the world’s poshest eating contest,” where $70,000 of caviar is downed in seconds (not for the weak of stomach. Remember, they are eating fish eggs):
