Billie Joe, the front man from the rock band “Green Day,” was more then just a little upset when his set was cut from 45 to 25 minutes at the Clear Channel-hosted iHeart Radio Festival Las Vegas. And all so Usher could have just a little more time on stage. Check out Billie Joe’s “rock and roll” reaction…
I, for one, believe Billie’s actions were justified. A little language heavy, but it’s rock and roll and someone probably needed to say something.
There is a fine line between letting an artiest express themselves and running them like commodity or a widget on an assembly line. Who ever was responsible for running this event (Clear Channel), obviously didn’t care about the music. If he/she did, they would have let Green Day finish out their set and let the whole concert run “1″ minute long. Having a timer on a bands set is like setting a page limit on a author telling a story.
More power to Billie and Green Day though. They’re just that much more hard core again and finally got on the front page of newspapers again.
